About the Project
I have always been interested to learn more about optimization since my high school days. As a result, I teamed up with a friend to work on this project which aims to “democratize optimization.”
Linear programming is a powerful tool which can help businesses optimize their performance. However, it was clear to us that this technology is only limited to big players in the market. Thus, we hoped to design a web app that enables SMEs to optimize their inventory using linear programming despite their technological constraints.
Key Learning Points
- This was a good opportunity for me to explore topics under optimization. Furthermore, it was the first time I did a hands-on Python project that combines theory and practice.
- Optimization is not rocket science, but it takes a lot of practice to make the best use of it.
